Misconceptions about Hull. Hull is in the middle of no where the end of the line.

When you look at Hull (Kingston upon Hull ) on the map we may look at the end of the line the middle of no where, With no where around for miles.
But is this really True?
Yes on the face of it for example the M62 stop miles from the city.  But when you look deep the answer is no. Hull is where we are for one reason the River Hull provide a sheltered anchorage on to the Humber and this was important for the monks at Meux this again was recognised when the crown brought the city. As the city was in a useful position to be a grassion and supply port in regards the wars with Scotland . The Hull and Humber region can reach 80% of the UK in 4 and a half hours so are we out of the way. Yes the nearest city is Leads 70 Miles away and no other major city has that for a position making us look isolated. But We are the only ferry port in Yorkshire/on the Humber and for miles between Harwich and Newcastle severing over 1 million people a year so we are the start of their journey in the UK or part of the route to mainland Europe so are we at the end of the line?
A further point to consider is if we where the middle of no where why have some many multi national been founded in Hull and still have a HQ here?
Yes land is more affordable and easier to build on due to the city been flat.
