Moving tips from the professionals

  1. When a fridge / fridge~ freezer has been moved ( new or used/own ) don't plug in and turn on for 4 hours. So the gases can settle. why ? because if they have not settled before you turn the fridge back on they can go bang

Self move Versus Professional removal companies

Why you are better off letting a professional  reliable mover move you :

Key points:
  • We do it all day long
  • So we have the experience getting things like sofa though doors or gates or upstairs and any other tight space that may be encountered
  • We can load and unload quickly and safely taking less time
  • Due to experience moving items less prone to damaging items as that experience means they can see how it should be loaded on the van and how to handle it even in awkward spaces to get it where it needs to be
  • And in the rare case something is damaged we are insured and it covers the cost of replacing the item ( if you move yourself you would have to foot the bill in the situation )
  • Often taking less trips than if you had done it yourselves
  • We have the relevant equipment ( straps, sheets, trolleys Etc)Plus a 15 plate van in our case ( latest equipment for the job) ( First aid kit + First aid manual + Tool kit electric screw driver (US) As of the 4/03/16 it will be a 16 plate van
  • Moving is one of the most stressful things in your life letting a professional mover take the strain we do it all the time (here at Clark trading we offer an in situ service )
  • You can check out their/our previous feedback ( And I would always recommend you check the previous feedback of a company  ) ( just click the above feedback link to go to ours )
  • In our case we are members of the +AnyVan.com  Assocation of professional movers http://www.anyvan.com/view-profile/PClark20
  • We operate a two man team on all house moves to ensure it is as quick smooth and stress free as possible
  • Insured for the job £10000 goods in transit ( can be increased if need to be )
  • (Long distance moves) Knowledge of the country's geography
  •  Experienced in handling fragile things like glass ( we have at +Clark Trading even carried 6 foot commercial mirrors )
Self drive vans don't:
Come with any equipment
You have to do all the work
Plus there a deposit to pay
You have to ensure the van has the same fuel it came with
Office : 01482 829714
Ashley 07400  975771
Lynne 07711 948227
The driver/ van team's number can be obtained from the van on the day of moves just ask them for it
That's Paul and Richard by the way

Please note the same can be said for Pianos
They are heavy and need special equipment to move them

One oddity of the bombing campaign was the Hull works of the National Radiator Company Ltd.; not a single German bomb fell on the works throughout the entire war despite it occupying a 55 acres (22 ha) site, having been used for munition production during the First World War and having been identified as a Gewehr- und Kleinmunitionsfabrik ("rifle and small munitions factory") on German bombing maps.[Captured documents later showed it was the intended target of a raid in April 1941.

VJ Day

The often overlooked and forgotten part of the Second world war was the conflict in the pacific
Which ended 70 years ago today
Lest we forget
We remember
50,000 servicemen
A quarter died in captivity. The rest returned home sick and damaged.
12500 or so died just in captivity

The average prisoner received less than a cup of filthy rice a day. The amount was so meagre that gross malnutrition led to loss of vision or unrelenting nerve pain.

  • Tenko was the Japanese command for roll call
