At 730 plus years old Hull has a long history, while not as long as say Yorkshire neighbour York at nearly 2000 years but still as a city Hull is older than many country like the United states or Germany. And as you can imagine in all them long years the city has a story to tell

Weather its :

• How we shut a king out and sparked the English Civil war ( Beverley gate)
• Our role in Ending the Slave trade Mp William Wilberforce 
• How we where heavily bombed in the Blitz ( the over looked and forgotten city of ww2 in the UK by area we where the second most bombed city after London and suffered both the first daylight raid of the war @ Salts end Chemical plant  to the last raid the claimed lives, at a cinema Boyes holderness road story stands on the site , ) ( or the last remaining civilian bomb site in the UK form ww2 ) 
•     Or as a trade port for 700 + years the UK the Uk first enclosed dock ( now Queens gardens park )

The things we know

• Olympics in Rio so Gold medals for Britain in some sports lets hope even more the London 2012 which was a record breaking haul for us 
• Euro 2016 Football in France I wonder how far England can get this time 

The future is  blank slate in so many ways each and every one of us can write our own tale the only things set in stone ? Well he past and major events like the Olympics but the outcome is wide open

2015 the year in review

Well it is Christmas eve 2015 which means 2015 is in it's last few days well the last 8 days

Well for good and bad and the inbetween 2015 has been a very eventful year
While it is easy to label 2015 as the year of terrorism and while there have been many terrorist incidents all over the world, From Paris to the US to Lebanon etc and that is an easy label to give the year.
It also is the year where many sports have been tarnished , both football and athletics

It been the year that a few few well known people have died (rip )

• Cellia Black 
• Jonah Lomu 
• Arnold Schwarzenegger 
• Stephen Lewis ( on the buses Blakley )

I am struggling to find good examples for 2015 at this point.

But while this make it sound like a terrible year. Maybe on the grand scale of things.

Good things ?

• The Queen has become the longest reigning British monarch ( well maybe more of a record then a good or bad thing )

mainly caused by Paul's ill health that have resulted in on several occasions 
the delivery side having to be scaled back 
But on the whole it been a great year for us at Clark trading and that could 
not have happened with you our customers 
A year of growth and the company advancing and evolving

Where will the Market van of ours be tomorrow

It not only marks the day that US entered the second world war it also marks the day the war in the pacific started  for both the UK and US 

But it was not till the next day that the US joined the European conflict when Hitler made the mistake of declaring war on them 

The USS Arizona still leaks fuel.

The day before the attacks, the USS Arizona took on a full load of fuel, nearly 1.5 million gallons. Much of that fuel helped ignite the explosion and subsequent fires that destroyed the ship, but -- amazingly -- some fuel continues to seep out of the wreckage. According to the History Channel, the Arizona "continues to spill up to 9 quarts of oil into the harbor each day" and visitors often say it is as if the ship were still bleeding.

As some of you will be unfamiliar with this American Brand
We have as you know Maytag Washer on stock

The Maytag Corporation is an American home and commercial appliance brand owned by Whirlpool Corporation after the April 2006 acquisition of Maytag
