#Road trip The Italian job

We are bound for Italy in fact a place just out side Turin in Northern Italy near the alps Full there is space on the return route click here for info.

The fact file

• it will be  trip of about 1800 miles our longest route to date currently Inverness 13/4/15 will hold that title but this smash that 
• It is our first European job 
• It is the furthest south by Road our Second man will have been 
• But not our drivers he has been to Naples when driving HGV numerous times and Rome
• It will be the first time we have taken the Van on the ferries 
• And we will travel via place like France  

We are proud to announce our latest route it is our first European run since we added EU coverage and hopefully the first of many

One of my Lutons will be travelling back to the UK (Hull ) from near Turin in Italy on 14th of May (Dover - Calais route )

# Green Logistics

As a transport company we operate a van which of course produce c02 and we accept that like all company's we have a responsibility to protect the environment.
We may not be the biggest company in the world and as a result have limited resource in some sense to limit our Carbon foot print but that not an excuse every.

So How do we try to limit our foot print ?

1. we operate a euro 6 van 
2. We have have a company garden with plants and a pond to help of set that c02 
3. when travelling on the motorway our van does not do 70 mph but rather between 56 to 60 mph which is more fuel efficient and limits our co2 by improving mpg 
4. The driver are always targeting getting their van's mpg 28 mpg and above (28 is average for a luton) 

Road trip #2

As I  said yesterday I normally work in the office and did not expect to be out on the road but the second man was ill so need most. Tell you what not used to sweating but enjoyed having to physical graft made a change of pace.

Just a selection of the things I saw on our two trips from Throne to Perston (started and finished in Hull ) 

• Cockpit section of a jumbo jet on a truck 
• train on a truck 
• Route master bus on the M61 
• Several vintage cars 
• A west Yorkshire police van in Lancashire 
• Ferrari 
• Plus passed more Eddie Stobbart trucks than I Care to mention 

Plus we where carrying Stobbart's today ok not quite a toy stobbarts's truck Lol 

On the buses wait no I mean van

Normally I work in the office doing this and that, but for this and that reason OK the driver ask me to (our driver is one of the directors Paul _ Pclark20 is us on +AnyVan.com ) So we start the day from base up to a village near Driffield East Yorkshire (A anyvan job) shame it was raining we ran up into the Yorkshire wolds to load and down past the river Hull on route to the first collection  plus side saw swans and grouse.
