# Lynne went out on a delivery job today to take a trip down memory lane she went to Raywell camp near Cottingham somewhere she went as a girl who says this jobs dull
Not going to say how long ago that was so don't ask lol
(We have even had deliveries to Raf Bases 3 different shopping centre and even a Wickes to Wickes delivery on behalf of Wickes
We get about )
Then again the Raywell trip was not Lynne best trip out in the van ( She work in the office van and shabby chic side here so can turn her hand to many things )
And we have also collected from the +Dove House Hospice warehouse which is nice as we are proud to support Dove House

# European Road trip day 4
I was shocked when I was told 100 miles on the French motorways hit 80 euro and as a result we decided to avoid Mont blanc tunnel due to cost and the van went up via Fraser the same road you see at the end of the Italian job movie which is cool as for 1 we have been calling the Turin run the Italian job and 2 it a cool movie and unlike the bus our van survived

- train on a truck
- Route master bus on the M61
- Several vintage cars
- A west Yorkshire police van in Lancashire

What is Logistics ?
We are Clark trading group and among other things we are engaged in logistics but what is logistics ?
Well for one thing all business and people rely on logistics it is the lifeblood of the world but why? Logistics put simply is the management and movement of goods and people from A to B. So take the train or bus that logistics. Without the lorries of the logistics sector or vans for that matter no food or goods in the shop.
Here a short list of some things that are logistics:
- Warehousing
- Road haulage (light haulage as well)
- Rail freight
- Etc.
But where do we here at Clark trading group fit into the picture ?
We are engaged in road haulage or more precisely the light haulage sector.
And to put it simple road haulage is the transit of goods by road and the light haulage sector is movement of goods up to about 3 tons or so (we have a max gwt of 3.5 tons by the way)
Well as with any industry there can be a lot of terms and the such like
1 ton = 1000 kg or 2200 pounds
C+E = A class of lorry the largest on UK Roads at up to 44 tonnes (As pictured below) our driver has over 20 years experience from driving these all over the UK and even EU
So there are a few terms for you

Tales of the road
Been among other things a delivery company things our van gets out and about and as you can imagine see all sorts of weird strange wacky and even dangerous things out there on the roads.
I thought I would try and do a tales of the road blog based on that since it is Road Safety Week 2014
(Lets look out for each other is this years theme)
.jpg)
So Here goes:
My Favorite no sorry that the wrong word thing I have and do see when out and about (in the van and foot) is Cyclist who think they are a law to themselves. And no this is not a dig at cyclist the one who do it right are great and it is a small minority but,
We all have a responsibility to both know the rules of the road.
And that is just one example

- No lights
- Pavement cycling
- Wrong way on a road
