Well as all delivery are different this is in itself a tricky question. For one our Driver Paul has great knowledge of how to load a wide range of loads a from 20 + years driving a artic and b from the wide range of load we carry he also has great geographical knowledge for the same reason of the UK and Eu. So I would go with when we delivered some of our stock we sold to a farm in East Yorkshire finding the place when it not on the Sat nav or map made it an interesting delivery

Question
What was the scariest load you have carried
Answer
While we don't normally carry live animals we have on occasions have done for Richard the second man on the van the answer would be yesterday's load a house move including tarantulas he has a fear of spiders you see

Sofa delivery services

When it come to moving home what is the hardest thing to get out the home or in to the new home ?
It will come as no surprise that it is the sofa the largest thing you most likely own.
It is an art form so to speak
As a company that moves sofa all the time either by themselves or in house moves we know the trick to get these in and out of homes it is almost an art in itself so to speak. Involving varying angles so it more like a science

When handling light coloured sofa Eg. Cream the team will wear latex type gloves

We take pride in our van and it is kept clean inside and out and sweep out every day before the first job and then before the next job

3 seaters
Corner sofas
4 Seaters
2 Seaters
Recliners
Etc

ambient food deliveries

Along with numerous other things we can/do delivery we can do ambient food deliveries

Food + Drink + Alcoholic beverages including beer kegs

Shelf-stable food (sometimes ambient food) is food of a type that can be safely stored at room temperature in a sealed container. This includes foods that would normally be stored refrigerated but which have been processed so that they can be safely stored at room or ambient temperature for a usefully long shelf life.

Pallet delivery services

Need a pallet delivered ? but the place is too large to fit a lorry ? no problem we can carry several pallets in our lutons ( Eg. a house )
and can carry just over a ton (1000+ kg )
And as we have both a pallet truck and a tail lift we can help

Weak bridge on the access route ? our gwt is 3.5 tonnes
Narrow road ?
Etc
There are plenty of place lorries can't fit but luton's can
But there is no forklift for the pallet at either end ?
Our van is fitted with a 500kg tail lift
plus
We have a pallet truck available

( We also can offer a shuttle service)
Plus our vans are Euro 6 London low emission zone compliant, and we do regular London routes
And we are only 3 miles from Hull docks > http://clark-trading.blogspot.co.uk/2015/06/how-far.html

We can also supply pallets ( standard and Euro) and a palletising service as well

Self move Versus Professional removal companies

Why you are better off letting a professional  reliable mover move you :

Key points:
  • We do it all day long
  • So we have the experience getting things like sofa though doors or gates or upstairs and any other tight space that may be encountered
  • We can load and unload quickly and safely taking less time
  • Due to experience moving items less prone to damaging items as that experience means they can see how it should be loaded on the van and how to handle it even in awkward spaces to get it where it needs to be
  • And in the rare case something is damaged we are insured and it covers the cost of replacing the item ( if you move yourself you would have to foot the bill in the situation )
  • Often taking less trips than if you had done it yourselves
  • We have the relevant equipment ( straps, sheets, trolleys Etc)Plus a 15 plate van in our case ( latest equipment for the job) ( First aid kit + First aid manual + Tool kit electric screw driver (US) As of the 4/03/16 it will be a 16 plate van
  • Moving is one of the most stressful things in your life letting a professional mover take the strain we do it all the time (here at Clark trading we offer an in situ service )
  • You can check out their/our previous feedback ( And I would always recommend you check the previous feedback of a company  ) ( just click the above feedback link to go to ours )
  • In our case we are members of the +AnyVan.com  Assocation of professional movers http://www.anyvan.com/view-profile/PClark20
  • We operate a two man team on all house moves to ensure it is as quick smooth and stress free as possible
  • Insured for the job £10000 goods in transit ( can be increased if need to be )
  • (Long distance moves) Knowledge of the country's geography
  •  Experienced in handling fragile things like glass ( we have at +Clark Trading even carried 6 foot commercial mirrors )
Self drive vans don't:
Come with any equipment
You have to do all the work
Plus there a deposit to pay
You have to ensure the van has the same fuel it came with
Office : 01482 829714
Ashley 07400  975771
Lynne 07711 948227
The driver/ van team's number can be obtained from the van on the day of moves just ask them for it
That's Paul and Richard by the way

Please note the same can be said for Pianos
They are heavy and need special equipment to move them

# Lynne went out on a delivery job today to take a trip down memory lane she went to Raywell camp near Cottingham somewhere she went as a girl who says this jobs dull
Not going to say how long ago that was so don't ask lol
(We have even had deliveries to Raf Bases 3 different shopping centre and even a Wickes to Wickes delivery on behalf of Wickes
We get about )

Then again the Raywell trip was not Lynne best trip out in the van ( She work in the office van and shabby chic side here so can turn her hand to many things )
Lynne is a regular Crew member on the European delivery runs where we often have a 3 person crew
And has been to:
Switzerland
France
Italy

And we have also collected from the +Dove House Hospice  warehouse which is nice as we are proud to support Dove House

1200 cubic feet joint capacity

# Our Two vans between them have over 1200 cubic feet and can fit where the bigger 7 1/2 tonne can't but between them they can still do the work

1200 cubic feet =
( a 7 and half ton truck) (disclaimer we don't have a 7 1/2 ton truck in the fleet this is for illustration only )
Some times these bigger trucks can't get down the street for numerous reason which is why even though we only have Luton's the are ideal when working together for move of up to 1200 cubic feet they can get in place the bigger truck can't and have between them over 1200 cubic feet

These two are in the fleet

Tuesday, 14 July 2015

Meet our 2nd van

Now with 2 vans

And the new van is also a Euro 6 and has a 15 plate
It is taller to than the Relay
Between both vans we have over 1200 cubic feet

European delivery faq

Q: What is your preferred route ?
A: Dunkirk- Dover ( +DFDS Seaways UK )
Q Why
A Simple put there are quite a few reasons, to start with the routes are more affordable saving us compared to other cross channel routes ( See our press release to see our fall back plan )enabling us to offer the customer the same delivery at more affordable prices. Secondly the port currently has little to no illegal risk improve load and crew safety. And thirdly our crews prefer the +DFDS Seaways UK  boats ( so we can keep our people happy at the same time which is great )
And with it been closer to the boarder with Belgium we are able to get on to the toll free roads quicker with out having to spend hours on the nationals saving time and money on routes not involving France
Q So you avoid Calais
A Yes Dunkirk is only 19 miles down the coast so even on routes where the return leg put us past it we still go to Dunkirk
Q With Hull have a Ferry terminal about 3 miles from you why don't you ship via Hull
A Cost it is more cost effective to ship via Dover
Q Where in Europe do you cover
A Anywhere in the EU and Switzerland
A no we don't cover Any part of Russia or Turkey currently
A Yes we can/do cover the channel islands , Isle of Mann but be advised the ferry can be quite expensive so that is reflected in the price
Q What country have you either been thru or delivered to to date
A France, Belgium, Luxembourg, Germany, Switzerland and Italy
Q Which of them have you been in most
A As we sail via +DFDS Seaways UK  and Dunkirk France closely followed by Switzerland
Q How many country have you done in on day ?
A Our record is 6 including the UK on one run wit a motorcycle from Aberdeen to Switzerland

Longpont Abbey (Abbaye Notre-Dame de Longpont) was a Cistercian monastery, in present-day Longpont, Aisne, France.
It existed from 1131 to 1793, being founded by monks from the abbey of Clairvaux, at the behest of Jocelin of Soissons. There is now a hotel on the site, located in the old Cistercian inn. The roofless abbey church can be visited, along with the better-preserved buildings around the cloister. The original buildings suffered war damage in 1918.
Its monks included Petrus Cantor and John de Montmirail.[3]
