Hull and the Blitz's. The forgotten city (Updated)

After London one city was the most heavily bombed by area and during WW2 was called a northern eastern coastal city. Yes that was Hull. But why?
Let's see 2014 and 1940/41 Hull was/is home to a busy and nationally important
port critical to national interests then and now. And the Germans had to put us
Out of action. And had a easy job finding us after all we are bang smack on the Humber with the river Hull we may have had a big sign saying bomb here. And we even suffered from bomb also meant for the likes of Leeds if pilots could not find it and when they where dumping bombs to lighten loads/fleeing the RAF
Hull has the last remain civilian bomb damaged city in the UK and unless I ma remembering my history wrong, the last bomb raid on the UK occurred in Hull. And we also had the horrible honour of suffering the first daylight raid on mainland UK at Salts end

Facts and figures
Hull had the pleasure of spending over 1000 hours under alert. I can't Imagen spending that long under that level of threat. I mean 152000 people were made homeless and 95% of the housing stock was either damaged or destroyed.
