The £25 Million revamp of Hull

Have read today's Hull Daily mail article on the revamp of the city centre in time for #Hull2017. I must say I am impressed with the designs. The creation of a new public space outside BHS look great as does the plans for Beverly gate and Whitefrair gate is just what is need and more or less what I have suggested in previous blogs. Are we missing a trick? Here in Hull

However  can not see anything different in the plans for Queen's gardens. A further point is £25 million is Small change and will be money well spent let's all get behind this just like we did for #Hull2017!

While I agree we need to move the Wilberforce monument I don't think returning it the monument bridge location is not right place for it nor is Queen's square so where. It may sound radical but put it in the marina area looking out over the river on the sight of the old Pepsi night club. And a how about creating a second Wilberforce monument of the same scale but where?
