Been patriotic does mean been nationalistic!

I know these two get confused but let look at it shall we ?
Been patriotic is been proud of you county that is all. You can be proud of what your nation has archived with out it been detrimental towards other country's for example I am proud to be British but love Germany. But if your nationalistic your proud of your country to the effect  of put your country interest and everything else first no matter what. Nationalism was one of the factor the lead to world war 1 one hundred years ago not patriotism leaders where proud of their country to the negative effect of every one else.

Recessions and the media

There are without a doubt numerous cause of recession, and have been over the years. But in. Sense the cause is no great importance during most recession it caused it but is not fueling it.
What fuel a recession is very similar world wide and though history.
High unemployment
Shrinking wages
All feed into low consumer and business coincidence and keep fueling the downward slip.
I blame to a certain degree the media for this why?
They report with glee all the bad recession news in great detail fueling ever lowering consumer with. Come lower spending in shops and all that follows that.
Yes they need to report the news but how about finding in times of recession a positive financial new story to boost moral. It will possible speed up recovery as consumer confidence is a big factor in this and the news play a big factor in effecting consumer confidence not the only one but a big factor never the less.

Why do People Slag off Hull?

Before anyone says it because Hull is rubbish or such like and bottom of very league table these are only half true in some case. And people seem to us out dated info in some case.
Since winning the city of culture 2017 Hull has seen a lot more positive press. But the fact people love picking on us.
Why?
One possible reason could be it has just become fashionable over the years. After all some where has to be the UK worst place. OK it Hull let's find the figures to support it shall we.
But is this the reason.? That to the media Hull is easy to pick on? It seem to be at least part of the reason I tend to think.

But now we have won the city of culture for 2017 Hull has been allowed to shout about how we a good city not a bad place to live or work.

Why is Wayne Rooney worth 300k a week?

300000 pound is a lot of money to most people. That is simple. So why does Wayne Rooney deserve 300k a week a massive per tax sum of £15600000 a year that is more than most people will ever see in their entire life time.
Let face It yes Rooney is a good footballer by anyone's standards. And you can not blame him for accepting such a sum who in their right mind would say no to it.
But kicking a ball around a field get more in a week than a surgeon does in a year or a nurse in many years. Or many other jobs were people risk their life's.
Football is an expensive game to watch and wage like this are the route case of it.

Wayne Rooney nor any other footballer does not deserves such large wages.

Do we value him and footballers in general above every other job like our nurse?
Wage like this suggest 1 of 2 things.
Either the answer is yes
Or
Footballers are out of touch greedy.

But it is certain they are over paid

The History of Hull The Novel

A long time ago no a very long time ago in a country not far far away a king who name I forget was out riding I think. Any way for some reason or other he was near Wyke and land owned by the monk at Meux who part in this is all but done. Now this king who name I can not for the life of me think of was at war with the then enemy the Scottish. And need a base for this war. That like the grub in Goldie locks and 3 Bears just right and in this case not to close or to far and so Hull was born by the unnamed King by the land

It can be great exercise and fun to take my dogs out for a walk and they love going to the local Pets at home (Stoneferry Hull)  (And I mean love it they have to go at least once a week and drag us there when they know their going there)  to see the Rabbits for Charlie ( correction he whats to eat the Rabbits but the closet he gets is frozern rabbit meat which Gemma hates and will not eat) and Gemma loves the Deju( I have to pick here up to see them )  And most of the staff know them by name they enjoy going and I get to look at the Lizards. The only down side is taking them when it rains. Quite often when we have package here at Clark trading to ship by Royal mail Gemma goes with us to the post office.

2014 winter storms and the UK ! Mother nature stop please we are begging you!

Since late 2013 the UK has been suffering from a series of sea storms. It has damaged buildings roads railway lines arcoss the Uk. But all that said nature is showing us how powetful it is and even with all our tech how weak we are when it comes to it.We live at mother natures mercy.

I don't know if this weather is caused by global warming or not. It does not change the awersome power of these storms. It of course will affect how often we get these types of storms. The Goverment need to prepare the country for more in the future . That a given no mater if global warming caused this or not. And the political in fighting that been going on in the last few days help no one.

Who know what the cost will be to the UK?
It is Certain it has caused damage and destroyed.
Peoples lives
Infstructure

This is true of both the sea storms and major flooding.
But one point the Somerset level were a marsh for 1000's of years.
But should it be let go back to how nature intend? Or be better defended?
I think the later as in the UK we have many home and citys on flood plains and letting the Somerset levels retutn to nature would be setting a dangrrous precedent.
Of course all this does not changs the fact people are stuffering.
But it needs examing.!

Is the UK too London Centric?

When it comes to a country be centred around one city I think the Uk take the biscuit by been very London Centric. I can think of major country where they have several city they are centred around E.g. German where it centred around 4 or so citys.

This can be very damaging to the UK.
Just one example is spending. In Hull case we have to wait for years to get a upgrade to the A63 and it still not 100% sorted with no start date. And as one of the UK major port this is wrong. But London needs more rail capacity and hey presto they get it.

Yes London is the capital.
But it is a one trick pony and is a money city. The UK needs ports, Factorys and other things that the rest of the UK provides yet seems to grt forgoten. And this can damage the country.

World Cancer Day 2014

Today the 4th Feb is world cancer day. The scary thing ia that 1 in 3 of us will get some form of cancer and the stats seem to keep getting born out, and there are 200 types of cancer. I have lost 2 family member to cancer. And I don't denie it scarys me and that I hate it. I am proud that I am a registered Bone marrow donor, I hope I am never needed but I am registered just in case I am a match for some one.
A further thing that scarys me about cancer is it is simple cell division gone wrong, simple our body mormal process turn against us. And with 200 types we all are at risk it doesn't mater to weather you smoke drink or don't we all have a risk of some sort of cancer

On World cancer day let us not forget the good work charity like Dove House hospice in Hull do who I am proud to support. I wish we did not need them as condition like cancer, did not exist but they do and until they are defeated we will need the caring people at Dove House Hospice and others like them.

(Dove House cares for Adults in the Hull and East riding Area with a wide range of terminal illness by providing a selection of pallitive care I have only covered Cancer as today is World Cancer day)

There are no bad dogs!

I have had dogs in my life for 26 years in fact all my life. I have never meet a bad dog. Yes dogs have and do bite people. But why?
It all down to how the dog was brought up/Treated
(Dogs don't have any hands all they have is their teeth as a last resort)
There is no such thing as bad dog! It the owner!

This may sound wrong to some but lets face it is very rare that a well treat loved family pet goes on the rampage/bits some one.

The vast majority of case are ill treated dogs.
